Wondering what Air Movers are? Air Movers are a tool that we use to dry out affected materials that have moisture. It is the high-velocity air flow helps with faster drying times. Safety Smoke Alarm Tips

Smoke alarms only properly work by maintaining the unit itself. The following tips will assist you on maintaining your unit in your home or business:

  • When the low battery alarm goes off, replace batteries IMMEDIATELY.
  • Replace smoke alarms every 8 -10 years to ensure that they unit is working properly.
  • Test all units monthly.
  • Clean all units at least every 6 months. You can use a small brush to do so.

Below are some helpful tips for your furry friends to help with their safety against fires:

  1. Don’t leave an open flame unattended. Pets are naturally curious so when it comes to open flames like a stove or candles, it’s a sure way for potential disasters.
  2. Secure stove knobs. Be sure to use covers whenever you leave home.
  3. Avoid candles. If you have pets (especially cats), a lit candle can be a fiery temptation.
  4. Secure your fireplace. Sparks can fly out and either harm your beloved pet or if they have a pet bed near by it, it can catch fire.

Why Floor Protection?

A home in Victorville had a water loss caused by a broken water heater supply line. The home owner reached out to SERVPRO Of Victorville/Adelanto/Victor Valley. We arrived onsite to have an inspection throughout the home. We discovered that that supply line damaged drywall and baseboards in different areas in the home. Demo took place for all areas that were damaged and could not be dried out.  After demo was completed we set our dehu and air movers to dry out remaining moisture. 

In the photo above, the homeowner was worried about tracking from coming in and out of the house. So our expert techs set up floor protection throughout the home. The customer was extremely grateful and happy that her floors were spotless and protected!

After a sprinkler pipe burst into a home in Pinon Hills, SERVPRO of South San Bernardino City was called out by the home owner. Our techs arrived onsite immediately for an inspection of the home. After a completed inspection we discovered the following materials were affected: carpet, pad, drywall wall, and drywall ceiling. After our techs came into demo damaged materials, we placed our state of the art equipment to dry out the remaining moisture.

During this loss it our professional techs determined for this particular room and situation that containment was needed as shown in the photo above.
